I am pleased to have become a co-opted Governor and am very much looking forward to participating in the life of Corbets Tey School.

Prior to my retirement I was an Assistant Head Teacher, with responsibility for pastoral care, in a Havering Secondary School. This involved working with a diverse and broad range of people and organisations, at individual, group and policy making levels. I am a co-opted member of the local authority Children and Learning Overview and Scrutiny Committee and served on a National Advisory Forum for the Education Support Partnership from 2016-2019.

I live locally and have three grown up children, one works in Academia, the other two in the Art world. I also look after two of my granddaughters one day a week , this keeps me young(ish) and active and continues to add to my learning, currently the world of unicorns!

In my spare time I enjoy visiting galleries and the theatre and photography. I keep fit by walking regularly with the Havering and East London Ramblers group.

I am keen to contribute my experience in a voluntary capacity and believe I can make a valuable contribution to Corbets Tey School.
